Morada dos Jacarandás Featured on ArchDaily

Morada dos Jacarandás, a residence set on the shores of a reservoir in Joanópolis, was selected by ArchDaily's editorial team for publication in its Portuguese-language edition. With 975 square meters of built area, the house emerges from a dialogue between architectural precision and respect for the site's native vegetation: three large pre-existing trees guided the entire positioning of the building.

The L-shaped volume organizes daily life across different levels and frames the reservoir as a permanent backdrop, present in nearly every room of the house. Exposed concrete beams with an exclusive layout and custom metal brise-soleils give the façade its identity, while a distinctive recess in the wooden ceiling, created to resolve a construction challenge on site, became a signature of the studio.

The ArchDaily feature, curated by Susanna Moreira, recognizes Morada dos Jacarandás as a reference in contemporary residential architecture integrated with the landscape, and projects the work of Studio Miravan to an international audience of architects and architecture enthusiasts.
